”There was a crooked man, who lived in a crooked house…”

It is strange how such an open thing can hide many secrets, many stories…many lives. A house can tell things about its owner…if walls could talk. Ones run away from their home to find love…yet home is where the heart is. People leave their houses when they go on vacation to see marvelous sights…but there’s no place like home. The windows allow you to see in, just as the eyes are windows into the soul. So many secrets in such a container. Inside a love, inside a hate, inside a joy, inside a despair, inside a girl, inside a boy, inside a cat, inside a dog, inside a child, and inside an adult. A little light, a little darkness, a little chaos, a little calm, a little charm, a little pervertedness, a little life…and a little death.
The inspiration of this story came to me when my family and I were driving home from my aunt's birthday party. One of the houses on our block has this extremely large window in the front, and allows you to see in, and to the fan that lies inside. Anyways, this kind of came to me, and I wrote it down quickly before it disappeared. I've read it only to Mikki-chan so far, and she described it as really creepy... I think I agree. =D

The italicized sentance is an old Mother Goose nursery rhyme, which I found in the first volume of Godchild. =D
