In the halfbreed’s opinion, Papa Midnite’s wasn’t all that great of a place, but it seemed to be a haven for halfbreeds so it was only natural that the one in question would be meeting another halfbreed at said bar. As such, after pulling on a long black coat that reached down to dress shoes of the same color, Gabriel left the church; soon enough he was already walking down the steps to the bouncer and his red rope. Stopping at it only to have the other hold up a card to him, he gave him an annoyed look. “I don’t have time for your parlor tricks,” he said to him in a scalding voice, only to have the bouncer shake the card a solitary time so that he drew his attention back to it. Looking at it as though contemplating whether or not to set it on fire, he then pursed his lips, blowing out a breath in the bouncer’s direction.

Upon doing so, a strong wind picked up, one that ripped the card from the bouncer’s hand and blew it over his shoulder. Ceasing such an action at that point, Gabriel smiled a mischievous little smile at the stunned bouncer, looking to his other hand, which remained on the clip that held the red rope in place. “Now,” he said in a voice that held quite the influential undertone, “why don’t you let me in like a good child, hmm?” His mischievous smile remained on his face as the bouncer removed the red rope for him, and he bowed his head in thanks. “Blessings be upon you,” he said easily to the other before slipping past him into the bar. Letting the dark lights wipe over him, Gabriel began to search for a free table- only to have his shoulder taken.

Looking to the one who had done so, he blinked in surprise to the shorter female, unsure as to why a complete stranger would have stopped him. “Not lost, are you dear?” she said, her hand on his shoulder gripping it in quite the threatening manner. “Haven’t seen you in here before, looking for someone… special?”

Gabriel’s gaze narrowed then, knowing fully well what the woman was implying, and the moment he opened his lips to retaliate, he found another hand going on another shoulder- though this one was upon the female’s own. Looking over said shoulder at the one who had done so, Gabriel closed his mouth, though the glare still remained in his eyes as he looked at the other. “That is my associate you are deterring,” Balthazar said in an equally threatening fashion, then giving a devilish smile of his own to the one angelic halfbreed among the three of them. “Terribly sorry about this.”

You’re late,” Gabriel said in his annoyed tone as Balthazar let go of the female’s shoulder, allowing her to scuttle off and leave them alone.

In the meantime, Balthazar held his arm out to the other in quite the old-fashioned form of chivalry. “Such tends to happen, unfortunately. Shall we then?” Despite the glare still present on his face, Gabriel took the other’s arm, allowing him to escort him over to a table in the corner of the room, tucked away from most wandering gazes. “I must say, it is rather amusing to see you here, out of your little church. I suppose then that whatever you’ve called me for is important, hmm?”

Gabriel gave him a look that all but said that such was the case, for a moment peering around the club before he leaned in and began to speak. The words he gave to the half demon were, after all, meant only for his ears, and it was the loud music that managed to mask said words so that it were such. Before long Gabriel found himself sitting back in his seat, looking quizzically at Balthazar. “Well?” was all he said afterwards, though by the look on his face already had a good idea what his answer was going to be.

“Frankly, I don’t believe you,” Balthazar said simply as he sat back as well, mimicking the other in body position though he was much more relaxed than the half angel across from him. “Why would you be doing this? Hmm?”

“The reason does not matter,” Gabriel insisted, leaning forward then, setting his arms on the table to press home the seriousness of the situation. “You want Mammon to cross over. I want Mammon to cross over. We have the one requirement, it’s already on its way here. Draw out the other twin, make sure that no one interferes, and such will come to pass.” He paused then, something catching in the corner of his eye. For a moment he looked away from the demon halfbreed, and instead peered at the rather infamous exorcist that was walking just on the other side of the room. Looking back to Balthazar to see that his gaze had traveled to him as well, he smiled, knowing he had found the other’s weakness. “He’s ill, you know,” he murmured, causing the other to look away from John Constantine and back to him as he concluded, “deathly. You could… terminate him, should you wish to. I don’t doubt he will only get in the way.”

For a moment the demon halfbreed looked back to John as he walked along the bar, before finally looking back to the one who sat across from him. “You do drive a hard bargain,” he mused, before putting out his hand to the other. “Under such conditions then, I accept. You shall have my support,” he concluded, shaking the other’s hand when he gave him such. It was then that he smirked, a thought coming to him. “I wonder, really, what God would say, seeing you here, doing business with someone like me.” While Gabriel almost crushed the other’s hand, Balthazar merely chuckled, standing at that point to excuse himself.

Gabriel merely watched the demon halfbreed walk off, trailing after Constantine, before taking a moment to himself. Looking once more around the rather despicable bar he then got up, slipping out of the room. He had work to do, after all.
Honestly... I have no idea where the hell this came from. My insomnia's acting up so I thought I'd do a little cleaning on my computer, so I was searching through my writing files/documents and stuff, and I came across this. Here I thought I posted it ages ago, but it's not there... huh.

Anyway, this is a piece of fanfiction I wrote obviously some time after watching the movie Constantine- why I wrote it however, I have no idea. Maybe because I like filling in the little bits of scenes that never make it to the screen, like SPOILER FOR THE MOVIE DAMMIT when Gabriel enlists Balthazar to help get Angela and such. So enjoy, even if you haven't seen the movie (and if you haven't, DO SO. I lurves it).

PS. The picture is from the movie; I just love the face Tilda Swinton (who plays Gabriel) made, I mean, just look at it! It's like an 'OH BURN' face. x3
